Fuel Conversion Project
In an effort to control our costs and improve environmental performance, will begin the permitting process to utilize liquefied natural gas to replace Number 2 fuel oil at our Florence facility.
After exploring various energy alternatives we determined that natural gas is the most reliable fuel source and one that would provide us with economic advantage and improve our environmental performance.
The Fuel Conversion Project will comply with local, state and federal permitting requirements. The permitting process is expected to take approximately one year with construction lasting an additional nine months.
Below you will find various documents that will provide insight to the project. We will update this site with project information throughout the permitting and construction process.
